Real-world history
A rock-cut mausoleum carved into the sandstone around the early 1st century AD under the Nabataean king Aretas IV; Petra became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985. Its façade played the Grail temple entrance, while the interiors were built at Elstree.

Admission: Petra charges an entry ticket (included in the Jordan Pass); check current prices. The Treasury is reached on foot through the Siq, about 1.2 km from the gate.
