Real-world history

An old-growth Douglas fir stand protected in MacMillan Provincial Park since 1947, with trees more than 800 years old. It is one of the few giant-fir groves reachable straight from a highway.

Admission: Free provincial park with short loop trails on both sides of Highway 4.
