Real-world history

A privately owned cattle ranch of about 3,000 acres founded in 1872, stretching from the Huleia River up to the Haupu ridge. Spielberg shot the end of the Peruvian prologue here, where Indy outruns the Hovitos and swings into the river to reach the waiting seaplane.
