Real-world history

National Trust cove of serpentine stacks, white sand and turquoise water at the foot of the Lizard. Season 1's War for the Stepstones — Daemon, Corlys and the Crab Feeder — was staged on this beach and Asparagus Island.

Admission: Beach free. NT parking charge. Café above the cove in season.

Parking & accessibility: NT car park on the cliff; steep path down.

Best time to visit: Low tide only if you want the full sand. Paths close in high wind.
