Real-world history

The Canadian Northern Railway built this Beaux-Arts terminus between 1917 and 1919 on reclaimed False Creek land. It is now Vancouver's intercity hub for Via Rail, Amtrak Cascades and long-distance buses. In 2016 it was dressed as a Yemeni railway station.

Admission: Public station concourse, open during operating hours.

Parking & accessibility: Paid lot at the station; Main Street–Science World SkyTrain station is next door.

Best time to visit: Daytime, between train departures.
