Real-world history

Tidal island castle in Mount's Bay. Seasons 1–2 used the harbour, causeway and granite house as Driftmark, seat of House Velaryon — Laena's funeral pyre on the shore, Rhaenyra and Viserys arriving to treat with Corlys.

Season 3 moved later Driftmark coastline to Anglesey.

Logistics & accessibility

Admission: National Trust / St Aubyn estate ticket. Causeway at low tide; ferry when the tide is in. Check tide tables.

Parking & accessibility: Marazion seafront and overflow; walk or ferry across.

Best time to visit: Low-tide morning for the causeway walk. Shoulder seasons beat school holidays.
