Real-world history

The Craigh na Dun stones were props set on a farm hill east of Kinloch Rannoch. The stones are gone, but the view of the loch and Schiehallion is the same. Clava Cairns near Inverness is the real stone circle often linked to them.

Logistics & accessibility

Admission: Private farmland. Use the signed lay-by if present; do not block gates or walk crops.

Parking & accessibility: Small informal pull-off on the Schiehallion / Kinloch Rannoch road.

Best time to visit: Clear evenings. The loch and Schiehallion are the shot.
