Real-world history
The first church here was begun in 1620 with Grand Master Wignacourt present, and the French langue of the Order of St John rebuilt it in 1740. It was damaged by bombing in 1942 and reopened in 1952.

Admission: Church exterior and its harbour setting are public. The roof used in the film is not open to visitors.
Parking & accessibility: Limited paid parking along the waterfront below; otherwise walk down from Victoria Gate.
Best time to visit: Late afternoon, when the harbour side of the church is lit.
